U9620 Steel Chassis Conversion - E5, Eclipse 6

The Schumacher Steel Chassis Conversion - E5, Eclipse 6 (SCH-U9620) is a steel chassis upgrade set for refining handling in LMP12 racing. It uses a 1.1mm spring steel chassis to lower the centre of gravity, while the reduced chassis width and thinner construction lower chassis-mounted components by 0.9mm. The result is a chassis layout designed to provide smooth, predictable handling and easier driving in high-grip conditions.

Compared with the standard 2mm alloy chassis, this conversion is 7g heavier but offers increased mid-corner rotation and a wider setup window. The narrower chassis helps alter the handling balance, while the spring steel construction gives the car a smoother feel through corners. The U9620 upgrade set is suggested for Schumacher E5 and Eclipse 6 cars, and is also suggested as compatible with the Schumacher Eclipse 5.

Features

The set combines the steel chassis with carbon fibre topdecks, side links and dedicated mounting hardware. The mounting screws use a Torx T7 drive, so fitting requires a suitable T7 driver. The Takashima T7 driver and handle, part TKSM-185, are available separately.
